Musical village - a village for musical instruments. Site between The Royal festival hall and The National gallery, Southbank center, London. A group project for 12 students. Each of us was given his own small space of lot situated literally in the air - 4m wide, 12m high and 15m deep. All lots were in one row. The task was to negotiate within the group as well as with your initial neighbors and swap pieces of lots to create firstly a sort of village in the middle of London and secondly an interesting and appropriate space for making, repairing and practicing a musical instrument of individual choice. My musical instrument was old Peruvian percussion called CAJÓN.
